Dear Parents/Guardians,
Just a short note to say that it is with great pleasure that the Board of Management welcomes our new Principal Mrs. Marion Sherlock to our school community. Mrs. Sherlock joins us from Halverstown National School and will take up her new post fully on Monday, the 24th October 2016.
We are sure that you will extend her the warmest Robertstown welcome, and will no doubt get to know her very well over the coming years.

Junior Infants:
The Junior Infants will be coming to school at the normal start time @ 8:55pm. The gate at the tower will be open at 8:50am until 9am. They will be going home @ 12pm on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and @ 1:35pm on Thursday and Friday this week. From next Monday, 19/9/16 all Junior Infants will be in school for the full day – 8:55am to 1:35pm.

We are delighted to announce that we have received our Digital Schools of Distinction Flag. We are awaiting our Active Schools flag and we will be displaying both in the coming weeks. Well done to all involved.
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Just to make you aware, there is a wasp’s nest in the Willow Structure in front of the school. All children (including Junior Infants) are asked to enter the school through the gate by the Tower on left hand side until further notice. They will also be leaving at the end of the day by this gateway. No children are to enter the school by the front door, by the office, when the gate is open.
Religion Programme: Bishop Nulty has approved a whole school in-service of the first formal Primary R.E. Curriculum and the new R.E. Programme for all teachers on Wednesday, 14th September 2016. All children will be going home at 12pm on the day to facilitate this.
First Holy Eucharist: There is a meeting for all parents/guardians of children who will be receiving their First Holy Communion this school year on Wednesday, 21st September 2016 in Allen Church @ 7:30pm. The provisional date for the Communion is Saturday, 13th May 2017 @ 2pm in Allen Church. We have not yet received any information for the Confirmation, as soon as we receive it we will forward it on to all parents/guardians concerned.
Curriculum Resources: The preferred way to pay is through our Aladdin Schools link which was emailed to all families. If you have no access, alternatively, you can send it into the class teacher in an envelope clearly marked with your child’s name, what it is for and the amount.
Tuesday, 28th June:
Graduation will be taking place @ 10:45pm. Parents/Guardians of 6th Class are welcome to attend.
Thursday, 30th June 2016:
The school will close for Summer Holidays @ 12pm for all pupils. The school will re-open on Thursday, 1st September 2016.
Teachers have sent texts with information to the relevant parents of children involved for each game/tour.
