Dear Parents/Guardians,
It is with great delight that I commenced my new position of Principal of Robertstown N.S. on Monday last, 24th October.  I am extremely grateful for the wonderfully warm welcome that I have received from the pupils, staff and parents of Robertstown N.S.

I have spent the past ten years working as a teaching Principal in St. Joseph’s N.S., Halverstown, Kilcullen.  Prior to that I have taught in Scoil Bhride, Athgarvan, Holy Child N.S., Ballycane, Naas and Scoil an Spioraid Naoimh, Laytown, Co. Meath.   I have taught all class levels including resource teaching over my teaching career to date.

I wish Ms. Dillon every blessing on her retirement and wish to thank her for her support in the transition period over the past few weeks.

Together we can continue to provide the best possible educational opportunities for the pupils of Robertstown N.S.  I look forward to meeting you all over the coming year.

Dear Parents/Guardians,
Just a reminder that swimming commences on Friday the 11th of November for all children in 5th and 6th classes in K-Leisure, Naas. There will be five sessions in all, last session 9th of December. Please have all monies paid by Monday 7th of November at the latest. €35 per child.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Please ensure that your child does not wear a scary mask or clown costume on the Witch Walk on Friday.  These costumes are not permitted as they can be very scary for small children.

Accessories such as plastic swords, gun, scythes, devil forks etc are hazards on the yard.  Please do not bring them to school.

Friday 28/10/16:
The Hallowe’en Walk will take place from the Hotel @ 8:40am approx.  All children are welcome to dress up and walk to school.

Saturday 29/10/16:
There is a Mass for the First Holy Communion class in Allen Church @ 7:30pm.

Football and Hurling:
There is no more Football or Hurling training until after Christmas.

Swimming:
Lessons will commence on Friday 11/11/16 for 5th and 6th classes @ €35 per child.  This can be paid online if not already done so.

Museum Tour:
This take place on Thursday 17/11/16 for 3rd and 4th classes @ €7 per child.

Seniors Infants made yum-yum balls on Friday. They were delicious!

Tuesday 18/10/16:
U11 Girls football training after school @ 2:40pm to 3:30pm
Junior Infants will be having their eye test.  Please be sure to your child is present for this.

Wednesday 19/10/16:
U11 Girls football final in Moorefield @ 5:30pm.  More details to follow.

Swimming:
All monies (€35) for swimming for 5th & 6th classes, are to be paid by Monday, 7/11/16 as lessons start on Friday, 11/11/16.

The girls will be leaving the school @ 11:25am to play their semi-final in Scoil Mhuire, Ballymany, Newbridge on this Friday, 14th October @ 12pm.
Returning to the school for 1:15pm approx.
Please ensure your child has a lift to the game.

Tuesday 11/10/16:
U11 Girls football training after school @ 2:40pm – 3:30pm.

Thursday 13/10/16:
Camogie blitz in Raheens @ 12pm.  Leaving the school @ 11:15am.  All lifts appreciated.

Anti-Bullying:
The Anti-Bullying Committee have been in all classes reminding them of our Buddy Benches.  They also meet up with Mr. Kelly from I.B.M. Mentor Programme.

Student Council:
The Student Council are looking for any suggestions from the student body for the coming school year.

Boys Football:
There is no more training or matches for boys football until after Christmas.  You will be notified closer to the time.
