There will be a choir practice in Allenwood Church on Monday, 14th March 2016. Leaving the school @ 1:05pm. To be collected from the church @ 2:15pm.

Friday, 11th March 2016:

All children can wear something green for Seachtain Na Gaeilge, i.e. jumper, hat, ribbons.

Tuesday, 15th March 2016:

All children are to wear their FULL school uniform for the Ireland Flag Raising.

Wednesday, 16th March 2016:

A reminder there is a half day for the Easter Holidays. The Junior end with their older siblings will finish @ 12pm and the rest of the Senior end will finish @ 12:15pm. Hopefully this will help with traffic congestion!!

Notices for week 7th March 2016

8/3/16 – 16/3/16:

The Scholastic Book Fair will be taking place during the week. Each class will have the opportunity to buy books.

Training:

All training is cancelled due to pitch being closed.

Monday 7/3/16:

A reminder of the Sherpa Kids information meeting in the school @ 6pm.

Tuesday, 8/3/16:

The Girls Football Blitz will take place, weather permitting.

The Diana Award for Anti-Bullying will be filming the Anti-Bullying committee in the school.

Wednesday, 9/3/16:

There is Penetential Service for Confirmation Candidates in Allen Church @ 8pm.

Wednesday, 16/3/16:

The school will close @ 12:15pm for the Easter Holidays and re-open on Monday, 4th April 2016.

Please note: The doors do not open until 8:50am each morning. Children should not be left unattended on school grounds before this time as teachers are not in a position to supervise as they are preparing for their class.

Scholastic Book Fair:

We are having a Scholastic Book Fair in the school from Tuesday, 8th March to Wednesday, 16th March. If you are buying books you can check to see if they are on the Scholastic Reading Pro.

Please be sure to be logged into Robertstown National School – 67V5, as seen in the attached picture, before your child/ren log in. If you are still having problems logging in, please contact your child/ren’s teacher.

Camogie training after school, in the school, finish @ 3:30pm due to weather.

Handwriting Competiton @ 3:30pm in the school

Tuesday 1/3/16:

Boys Football Blitz @ 11am in Robertstown GAA

Hurling training after school – 3:30pm in Robertstown GAA

Wednesday 2/3/16:

Girls Basketball @ 10am in Scoil na Naomh Uilig, Newbridge

Girls Fooball Blitz @ 11am in Robertstown GAA

Thursday 3/3/16:

Boys Basketball @ 10am in Scoil na Naomh Uilig, Newbridge

Camogie Blitz @ 12pm in Rathcoffey

Hurling @ 11am in Rathangan

Each child who is involved in either Camogie/Hurling, Basketball or Football will be told and also a text will be sent, to inform them where they have to go on each day that sports overlap.

Tuesday 8/3/16:

The school will be hosting a Book Fair from Tuesday 8th March to Wednesday 16th March.

Senior Girls Football

Training starts back Tuesday, 1st March @ 2:40pm – 3:40pm. All newcomers welcome.

Mini 7s blitz is on Wednesday, 2nd March @ 11am in Robertstown G.A.A. (7 – 10 players only). Team will be announced by end of week.

Wednesday, 24/2/16:

There is a Staff Meeting. All children will be going home at 1:35pm to facilitate this meeting.

Thursday, 25/2/16:

Assembly and new Buddy Benches (Colours of the Rainbow). All children are asked to wear one item of head wear i.e. beanie, hat, ribbon etc. for the arrival of the new Buddy Benches.

Friday, 26/2/16:

The school will be closed for the elections.

Operation Healthy Lunch Boxes:

This is the last week and there will be prizes at the end of the week. We hope that you will keep up the healthy lunch boxes!!

The Big Travel Challenge:

Pictures & Prizes will be posted later by Mr. Eyres.
