L.A.Y.A.
This year, the school is setting out to receive an Active Schools flag, awarded to schools who actively promote and organise initiatives that increase exercise and physical activity, both at home and in school. There will be many events and initiatives happening over the course of the year to get the Active Schools Flag, the first of which, is Laya Healthcare’s Super Troopers programme.
This programme will create a Home/School link for the increase in Physical activity, a vital part of the active school process. The children will be bringing home Super Trooper diaries today, which have a letter explaining the programme, with them. We are encouraging every child, and every family to participate in the programme fully. By completing the nightly exercise and filling into the diary, you will not only be giving your children an increased interest in being physically active, but will also be helping the school in achieving the Active Schools Flag.
Any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact me at robertstownnssi@gmail.com , as I am coordinating the Active Schools effort.
Please find a link below to the Active Schools website for more information,
Thanks a million in advance,
Mr. Eyres
