The situation with regard to children being collected early has improved and I would like to thank parents/guardians for their co-operation in this matter. Please note the following:
- Children leaving school before normal finishing time must be signed out from office and a reason must be given.
- There is no need to ring the school if your child is absent, however a written note/email must be sent into the school giving the reason for absence.
- Where no explanation is given for being collected early or in absence this is recorded as “no reason” on the child’s record which is then forwarded to the Department of Education & Skills and T.U.S.L.A. (educational welfare board) records.
- Please provide your child’s teacher with names of anyone who has permission to collect your child/children.
- Children need written permission to walk/cycle from school. These are kept in the office. No child will be allowed to leave the school without this permission.
